"What is your culture?"

People may ask.

Ndigum Xhosa

I am Xhosa.

A culture woven into the fabric of my soul,

A legacy I will carry,

And pass on.

A treasure that will journey with me,

Until my final breath.

Ungubani Wena?

Who are you?

Do you cherish the heritage passed down by akhokho Mkhulu?

Do you hold it close, as you do yourself?

At times, even I wonder,

Are you truly Xhosa?

Do you honor your roots,

As much as you honor your own being?
