Youth Initiatives

Participating schools in our youth initiative programmes automatically grant consent for their learners' work to be utilized by Our Cape Town Heritage (OCTH). This consent is essential for the organization to promote and share the educational achievements and projects developed through these programmes, ensuring that the contributions of youth are recognized and celebrated within the broader community. It is important to understand this aspect of involvement, as it underscores the nature of our educational efforts and the commitment to fostering a rich cultural heritage.

The creative endeavours produced under the auspices of OCTH are fully integrated within the organization’s framework and mission; however, the intellectual property rights of these creations remain firmly the original creators. By taking part in these initiatives (including contests), consent is given to have the creative work exhibited in various locations, aligning with OCTH's overarching mission and goals. The creative work is completely housed under OCTH's umbrella. The framework honours the contributions of the youth and reinforces our commitment to fostering creativity, education and preserving cultural heritage.

OCTH reserves the right to refuse submissions at our sole discretion. Participants agree to accept the decision of OCTH as final and binding.
