ARTIST APPLICATION FORM

  1. Our Cape Town Heritage (OCTH) is a Non-Profit Organization that consists of Directors, Advisory Board Members and a Team of consultants & volunteers.

  2. OCTH practical support includes: Exhibit artwork, promote artist, copywriting, graphic designing, printing, conceptualise the exhibition, research, curate artwork, venue hire, set designing, marketing & advertising, opportunity to sell artwork, a wider audience, media attention, logistics - planning and executing exhibition.

  3. OCTH reserves the right to choose participants for exhibitions at their own discretion.

  4. Unless otherwise specified by Directors or/and unless adequate funding is available from the NPO, successful applicants must have readily available artwork or artwork to be completed (at own cost) before the designated exhibition deadline.

  5. Successful applicants and artwork must align with OCTH values and Mission Statement.

  6. Successful applicants will be informed by OCTH about the expected exhibition dates for the calendar year.

  7. An Artist Agreement between successful applicants and OCTH will be drawn up concerning the exhibition.

  8. Applications will be accepted and reviewed throughout the year. However, applicants who send at the earliest, stand a better chance of filling the calendar dates for the year.

  9. Please note that there is a list of expenses involved in hosting a researched interactive exhibition and promoting Artists. As a Non-Profit initiative, OCTH relies on donations, fundraisers, sponsorships, funding and collaborations.

  10. Therefore, no solo-exhibitions unless Directors and Curator come to a unanimous decision, and there is enough Artwork to justify a solo-exhibition.

  11. The feedback regarding the rejection of your proposal is given at the Director's discretion.
