PRESERVING CAPE HERITAGE AND CULTURE THROUGH EXPLORING VISUAL ARTS AND EDUCATION

OUR STORIES MATTER

History is found to be a tale woven by the victors with cultural and ancestral stories being overlooked.

Our Cape Town Heritage (OCTH) aspires to change that with by sharing captivating stories from our audience, as a way of documenting and preserving heritage and culture in

Cape Town and South Africa.

Preserving your informative views about heritage, culture, traditions, customs and much more!

Our Cape Town Heritage believes that cultural heritage is important for shaping and influencing identity and the future.

Preserving heritage is an obligation, as it serves as a testament to our shared sense of belonging, history and values.

It provides clarity and perspective; our bond to the past, to our present and to the future.

Cultural heritage preservation dismantles the institutional practices and policies that uphold western colonial values.

By sharing stories around cultural heritage, we can effectively preserve the untold narratives of ancestors and learn from the cultural heritage stories that inspire and resonate with communities.
